Arts and Crafts

Arts and crafts are enjoyable at any age! Halloween coloring pages, painting pumpkins, or writing scary Halloween stories are all fun and easy ways to get your child into the Halloween spirit. These types of activities challenge children to think creatively and help's build self-confidence. Simple Halloween crafts can be a stress-reducing way to decorate the house and show your child how much you admire their work. These types of projects can also be valuable in the future because it’s a way to remember a special moment you and your child shared together!

Baking Halloween Treats

Halloween sugar cookies are the perfect way to commemorate the holiday in a tasty way. Go to the store and pick out some fun cookie cutters to make themed cookies for you and the family. Buy sprinkles and frosting and let your child go wild with the decorating! Baking gives children a sense of responsibility along with critical life lessons that will help your child succeed both socially and emotionally.

Spooky Movie Marathons

Bring over those sugar cookies you just made and relax in front of some kid-friendly movies! Watching movies and shows together can positively impact kids by teaching them life skills such as self-regulation and mathematics. Cozy blankets and hot chocolate can create the ultimate Halloween set-up for you and your family to spend quality time together. Family time is important for children in a lot of ways and provides a healthy foundation for a successful learning environment.

Virtual Halloween Gathering

Hosting a virtual Halloween gathering is a great way to beat the cold and stay socially distant! Various Halloween activities such as an online dance party is a great way to implement movement into the night and keep kids active. Get your family, friends, and neighbors to join in on the fun and teach your child how to have fun in a socially responsible way!
